 "Where you gonna debate? In New Jersey?" That was the response Stephanie received last Friday from Jesse Jackson, Jr.'s campaign staff, following her phone call, inviting him to debate, for the zillionth time. Stephanie's reply: "The debate will take place in Chicago, because we want it to be really convenient for Jesse. We know how busy he is -- I mean, he doesn't even have enough time to respond to my emails or phone calls. I want Jesse to be comfortable, so we'll make the location easily accessible for him. Surely if I can get to Chicago from Jersey, Jesse can get to Chicago from Chicago." But sadly, once again, Jesse's staff couldn't commit. They took Stephanie's cell phone number, and said they'd call her back. Two days later, she hasn't heard a word. So we may just have to setup the debate, and reserve an empty podium for Jesse. Stephanie is currently seeking to secure a debate location. If you'd like to help, or if you have a location to offer, please contact Stephanie ASAP. The media and public appear to be very interested in attending this event. We just need to find a space (for free, of course) in which to hold the debate, er, un-debate.
