Jan. 2004 - Nov. 2004,
newest to oldest _____________ November 3, 2004 I missed winning the election by a sliver, scoring 26,990 votes -- taking a silver medal home to Jersey for 12% of the votes in the 2nd District of Illinois. Not bad for a $0 campaign budget. Am I like, totally popular, or what?! October 27, 2004 A. Check out FAQ for new Q&A. B. Check out Coverage page for new Daily Southtown story. October 24, 2004 1. I called Jesse's headquarters and politely requested a debate, for the zillionth time. I need your help... click here for details. 2. Fun, new letters have been added to the hall of fame. 3. I'll be in Chicago next week, visiting my relatives, and doing some simple Stephanie-style Congressional campaigning. 4. Goodbye, freedom. Goodbye, America. My friend Joe Huffman has very high level security clearance at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where he's a senior research scientist. In a nutshell, Joe's job is to make our nation safe from terrorists, without compromising the freedoms of individual Americans. Joe recently posted alarming news: National ID card is on its way. Every American, every reporter, every writer... everyone needs to learn about -- and do something about -- what's happening with National ID cards. October 21, 2004 Daily Northwestern article -- go to the news coverage page. October 18, 2004 More emails posted in the Love Letters/Hate Mail hall of fame. Click here to view. October 17, 2004 I added a Love Letters/Hate Mail page to my site. Click here to view. Keep checking the page for fresh email goodies. October 14, 2004 First things first. Today the Chicago Reader printed a front-page article highlighting my cyber campaign. As soon as I can get my paws on the electronic article, I'll post a link to it. Many thanks to Jeff Felshman for writing the features piece. Secondly, it just dawned on me today, that Jesse Jackson, Jr. reminds me of
the smooth-talking lawyer in Seinfeld, Jackie Chiles. To confirm character likeness, click here
for sound bites from Jesse
Jackson, Jr., I mean, Jackie Chiles.Item number three: Getting back to The Reader article, the story has activated an onslaught of love letters and hate email. I'll post some of these award-winning messages soon, so stay tuned... October 12, 2004 I received an email a few days ago from Michael the Fan. He writes: Nothing since Sept. 4th. are you ok? --a fan My response to Michael, and to all blog followers: Thanks for your concern. I have no good excuse for my blog neglect, other than the fact that I've been a busy bee. But from this point forward, I hereby declare I will blog on a more consistent basis. Amen. September 5, 2004 through October 11, 2004 DINJ (Debate Invite Neglected by Jesse) #14, #15, #16, #17, #... I lost count. September 4, 2004 DINJ (Debate Invite Neglected by Jesse) #13: ![]() September 3, 2004 DINJ 12. September 2, 2004 DINJ 11. September 2, 2004 DINJ (Debate Invite Neglected by Jesse) #10 September 1, 2004 Day 9 of emailing Jesse, inviting him to debate me. Still no response. I see a pattern of neglect forming on behalf of Jesse. To spare myself the typing, and to spare you the reading, I'll condense Jesse's neglect into an acronym: DINJ. DINJ = Debate Invite Neglected by Jesse. August 31, 2004 Day 8 of emailing Jesse's campaign, inviting him to debate me. Still no response. August 30, 2004 Day 7 of emailing Jesse's campaign, inviting him to debate me. Still no response. August 29, 2004 Day 6 of emailing Jesse's campaign, inviting him to debate me. Still no response. No response from Jesse. August 26, 2004 I emailed Jesse Jackson's campaign again, inviting him to debate me. He didn't respond to my message. August 25, 2004 Today I emailed Jesse Jackson's campaign, inviting him to debate me. He didn't respond to my message. August 10, 2004: Thank gods, er, capitalism, for competitive, cutting-edge modern medicine! The surgery worked! Had I utilized socialized, rationed healthcare, it's likely I would've simply lost use of my entire right arm! My post-surgery condition is improving. I should return to my normal typing level in a month or so. Then I can put more energy into my cyber campaign. August 2, 2004: I'm scheduled for surgery tomorrow. For many years, I've been afflicted with Traumatic Neurological/Arterial Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. In short, the artery/veins/nerves running into the arm get compressed, thus leading to numbness, pain, loss of circulation, etc. For a longer explanation of TOS, click here. Anyway, the surgery will entail the removal of my top right rib and cutting of the scalene muscle. I'll be stepping away from my campaign until my new bionic right arm is fully functioning. July 4, 2004: I knew Jesse Jackson Junior and his daddy were corrupt exploiters. But I didn't know just *how* corrupt they were/are until I read Scam: How Black Leadership Exploits Black America. I've also been reading Shakedown: Exposing the Real Jesse Jackson (suggested reading on JJJr., and how he got elected into office in Illinois: Chapter 11 -- Dynasty). Black victimization is big business for guys like Jesse Jackson, Jr. & daddy! June 26, 2004: The spaghetti stuck. Jesse Jackson Jr.'s cronies were too smug to check the paper I submitted to the IL State Board of Elections. I am officially on the ballot. Had the JJJ staff put once ounce of energy into checking my submission, they could have easily thrown me off the ballot because I only had one signature. Ends up, there is no Republican challenger. And it's too late to challenge my petition. So it's just me vs. Jesse. June 18, 2004: Today I completed my Petition for Nomination for US Representative in the 2nd District of Illinois. Typically, several thousand signatures are required for this run for office. I have one signature. It is my own signature. I had the signature notarized, and the FedEx'd it to the LP organizer. Monday, June 21, is the petition deadline. I am going to embrace what my friend Bill Passmore refers to as the "Throw the Spaghetti on the Wall and See if it Sticks Trick." AKA, submit the petition on the exact day of deadline. Give the Democrat & Republican challengers only one week (rather than several months -- if the petition was submitted several months ago) to challenge it. If they are too smug, they won't even challenge my uno signature. --back to top-- |
