to other love letters/hate mail Kind words from someone who knows all about the two-party duopoly... From: Christina Tobin Sent: Sat 10/16/2004 Subject: Good work Stephanie! Good Morning Stephanie, I just wanted to praise you for all of your hard work. I worked directly with the Libertarians in 2002... <snip> as the ballot access coordinator against the Republicans to ensure the Libertarians spot on the Illinois ballot. After reading your article in the Reader yesterday, I couldn't be more proud to be a Libertarian. Currently, I'm fighting for ballot access. With advise, I surprised myself and took the job as the ballot access coordinator for the Ralph Nader campaign. It turned out to be a great decision. Since then, Libs, Greens, Socialist, SEP, & Independents have united for ballot access reform here in Illinois. I will be incorporating "Free and Equal Elections" next week. Briefly, it's a non-partisan organization fighting for free and fair ballot access laws. I recently filed a suit against Michael Madigan for the time sheets of over 12 state employee's that were used in trying to keep Ralph Nader off the ballot. After the 1998 George Ryan scandal, and 2002 Judy Baar Topinka scandal, I realized that I had enough. Let's stick together and get rid of this two-party duopoly. I look forward to meeting you after the election! You are such an inspiration to me Stephanie. Warmest Regards, Christina Tobin Return to other love letters/hate mail |
